Category: Stability Improvements

This release includes improvements focused on user flexibility and data accuracy. Users can now make more precise adjustments in specific areas of the design without affecting global settings. We have also made updates to KBL imports, schematic entry ports, and reports to ensure better consistency and reliability when working with external systems and downstream documentation.

Improvements

Customizable Strip Lengths

Users can now edit the strip length for individual terminals or splices directly in the Cavity Table. Previously, the strip length followed values from the Component Database or global settings. This update allows adjustments for specific components without impacting the rest of the harness design. Updated values are also reflected in downstream reports.

Fixes and Stability Improvements

Entry Ports: Improved data mapping for Entry Ports in schematics. When both male and female halves are present, the information now maps correctly in NWF reports and third party integrations.
HTML External Print Visibility: HTML external prints now maintain background colours and formatting correctly. This ensures that reports converted to PDF retain their visual formatting.
Connector Add-On Length in KBL Import: Connector Add-On length now supports multiple units of measurement during KBL imports. This helps avoid rounding or conversion issues when importing data from third party tools.
Sleeve/Tube update: The Update Sleeve/Tube tool now allows users to select specific coverings to replace within a bundle, instead of updating all coverings at once.
Inserting image from component database: User can now insert component images directly from the Component Database. This removes the previous restriction that required manual database selection, allowing for a faster workflow

New Features

Virtual Formboard & Layouts

The headline of this release is the debut of the Virtual Formboard system, allowing for flexible digital workspace management.

Virtual Workspace: Introduced the “Virtual Layout” workspace, enabling users to define and manage specific areas of interest for digital display.

Dynamic Controls: Added tools to resize, zoom, and lock virtual viewports for precise build alignment.

Full-Screen Visualization: New dedicated full-screen mode for virtual displays to maximize visibility on the shop floor.

Automated Provisioning: Smart algorithms now automatically initialize virtual layouts if not previously defined by the user.

Inventory & Station Management

Assignment Tracking: Added “Assigned To” columns for both Display and Device inventories for better hardware traceability.
Unified App Section: Created a new “Apps” hub within the Build Station interface for easier navigation to tools like the Virtual Formboard.

Improvements & Optimizations

Mobile Experience: Optimized SVG rendering for tablet and mobile browsers, ensuring formboards load correctly across all hardware types.

Data Portability: Improved CSV and XLSX import/export logic for build instructions, including better handling of prefix formatting and empty datasets.

Performance: Upgraded core UI frameworks to improve page load speeds and interface responsiveness.
URL Management: Implemented a new internal link-shortening service for easier sharing of virtual formboard configurations.

Bug Fixes

Session Management: Resolved an issue where active sessions did not immediately reflect updated user profile settings.

Login Reliability: Fixed edge cases where users were occasionally returned to the login screen after a successful authentication.

Display Alignment: Corrected a behavior where digital layouts would snap incorrectly when displays were positioned at extreme distances.

Sequence Highlighting: Fixed a bug where path highlighting would fail to trigger under specific hardware configurations.

Calibration: Standardized the calibration utility to ensure consistent scaling across various display resolutions.
