CAdonix Release Notes:
March 20th, 2026

Release version: 1-21-3-30

Category: User Experience and Stability Improvements

This release focuses on improving everyday workflows and strengthening platform security.

We have refined interaction behaviour across the schematic to make common actions more intuitive and efficient, while also enhancing account protection and extending API capabilities.

Improvements

A More Intuitive Way to Select, Move, and Interact with Components

Working with components is now more flexible and seamless. You can pre-select a component to quickly move, copy, cut, or delete using simple drag actions or shortcuts. Alternatively, you can trigger these commands first and then select the component.

Both approaches now follow a consistent interaction model using bounding-box selection, making it easier to work without needing to locate precise anchor points. Subtle toast notifications also provide clear confirmation for key actions.

Overall, these updates reduce unnecessary clicks and make component handling smoother and more predictable.

Streamlined Styling

Schematic now has a Color On/Off option now available directly in the command ribbon.

This reduces the need to navigate through menus and introduces profile-based settings, allowing preferred color configurations to be applied automatically. The result is a more consistent and efficient experience when working with complex diagrams.

Enhanced Account Security

We have strengthened account security by updating password requirements to align with modern standards.

Existing passwords will continue to work as before. However, any new or updated passwords will need to meet the enhanced criteria, helping ensure better protection of your data.

Improved API Data Access

We have extended a key API query to support additional data fields, enabling more comprehensive data retrieval in a single request.

This helps reduce the need for multiple queries and supports smoother integration workflows.

Fixes and Stability Improvements

  • Grouped component rotate/flip/mirror: Improved accuracy for moved component labels post rotation/flip/mirroring of grouped components.
  • Entry Ports :For specific workflows involving both halves of the connector, improved accuracy of entry points by populating it through component DB providing more control to the user.
  • Strip Length: Addressed wire cut list report accuracy in harness for strip length for specific workflows.

Release Notes – smartBuildRelease version: Version: 5.1.0.M.1Release Date: 2026-03-15

New Features and Highlights

  • Virtual Formboards: The smartBuild virtual formboard is an innovative digital tool designed to help users visualize construction layouts and assembly instructions across multiple secondary devices. By selecting a specific project, users can define a custom viewing area within a virtual frame, which then projects specific animations and build sequences to any connected screen. This system is particularly flexible as it requires no complex calibration and allows for an unlimited number of devices to be synced via QR codes or shared links. Users maintain full control over the display, with the ability to zoom and reposition the layout to focus on critical data during the assembly process. Ultimately, this technology simplifies the building experience by providing real-time visual guidance that can be accessed from any location on a job site.

  • Improved Traceability: New “Assigned To” tracking for hardware inventory and new inventory clearing tools for inactive stations. By incorporating an “assigned to” column on the inventory page, users can instantly determine which controllers are currently linked to specific workstations. This improvement aim to streamline inventory management and operational flexibility for users.
