Oxford, UK – November 2016. Cadonix is delighted to welcome Tula Technology of San Jose, California, into the Arcadia family and is privileged to be working with such a technically innovative company. Tula went through a comprehensive round of assessments of various electrical software tools available in the market today and decided to invest in Arcadia.
Jack Parcels, Tula’s Hardware Engineering Manager was responsible for choosing the tool to aid Tula’s mission. From his perspective – “Arcadia offers a unique cloud based solution with real-time live circuit simulations. With its integrated schematic and harness layout capability, our engineers can be assured that typical errors in the design lifecycle are trapped early when they are cheap to fix. We found Arcadia very intuitive and our engineers were able to be productive within a very short time scale.”
Tula is a dynamic, innovative company with a mission to bring about revolutionary improvement in fuel efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions in the traditional internal combustion engine. Such engines dominate the automotive market and will continue to do so in the foreseeable future.
Tula’s DSF® (Dynamic Skip Fire) technology improves fuel efficiency through individual cylinder deactivation. Currently automakers deactivate only a fixed number (usually half) of the cylinders to achieve fuel economy gains. Tula’s DSF provides the ultimate extension of cylinder deactivation technology, so that any or all of the cylinders are fired or skipped, in a continuously variable manner.
“We are pleased that Cadonix can play a part in Tula’s future plans and look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship. We knew Tula were undertaking an exhaustive evaluation of various software tools to satisfy their requirements and we were delighted that Tula selected Arcadia” says Jon Collins, Business Development at Cadonix.
